This role involves checking and proofreading translated documents in the pharmaceutical and clinical trial fields. You will compare translations against the source text and correct mistranslations, omissions, errors in numbers and symbols, inconsistencies in terminology or style, and typographical errors. You may also be required to verify compliance with reference materials and check whether there are any issues with layout or formatting.

| Requirements |
Required:
・English proficiency equivalent to around TOEIC 800 or higher (TOEIC Reading score of 425 or higher is also acceptable), or EIKEN Grade Pre-1 or higher. Please provide both your total TOEIC score and Reading score. ・Native-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent) ・Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel, including Track Changes, Find & Replace, etc. PowerPoint skills are a plus. ・Windows 11 or later, and Microsoft Office 2021 or later, or Microsoft 365 (Mac not allowed) ・Availability to work from home at least 20 hours a week Preferred: ・Experience proofreading translated clinical trial documents and knowledge of such documents ・Practical experience in translation, proofreading, multilingual proofreading (languages other than English), or editing based on various clinical trial guidelines ・Strong research skills using the internet and other resources Training and Working Hours Proofreading work begins with about one month of at-home training. Working hours: Able to work approximately 5 hours or more per day on weekdays, at least 3 days per week Preferred: Availability to work 5 hours or more per day between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, at least 3 consecutive days per week (excluding weekends and holidays) |
