Scope of Work
You will be responsible for translating a broad spectrum of legal documents required in global business environments.
Specific materials include:

Various types of contracts, memorandums of understanding, applications, litigation-related documents, laws and regulations, articles of incorporation, internal rules and policies, audit reports, family registry documents, and various certificates
These tasks require not only accurate translation of content but also knowledge of relevant legal regulations, as well as the ability to correctly apply the specific formats and terminology characteristic of legal documentation. This is a highly specialized field.

Applications are limited to individuals with experience translating legal documents or those with practical experience in legal affairs.
Requirements
Required:
・Professional translation experience
・Specialized knowledge in the legal field

Preferred:
・Experience as a paralegal or experience working at a law firm
・Experience using translation support tools (e.g., Phrase TMS, Trados), or willingness to learn such tools
・Ability to perform checking/editing work
(This involves reviewing translations produced by others and verifying the source text against the translation to correct any errors or inaccuracies. This task requires skills equal to or greater than those of the translator.)
Compensation
・Freelance, project-based contract work (remote)
・Paid per job or deliverable
Notes
* You may reapply for the same field after one year from the date of the notice of non-selection. We believe this period is necessary for further skill development.
* After passing the trial and registering with SunFlare, a work environment using a licensed version of Microsoft software is required (Microsoft Office 2021 or later, or Microsoft 365). Work cannot be assigned if unlicensed software is used.
* If you use a Mac, please ensure that you have a Windows environment set up and perform all work using a licensed version of Microsoft Office (Office 2021 or later, or Microsoft 365).
[Note] You are not required to purchase a licensed version of Microsoft software at the trial application stage.

*The submission deadline for the trial is within 7 days (24 hours × 7) from the time you download the trial file. Please note that the download URL for the trial is valid for 7 days (24 hours × 7) from the date and time you submit your application form.
Note: The deadline is counted down to the exact hour and minute.
Example: If you apply on February 11 at 14:25, the URL is valid until February 18 at 14:24.

Application Process:
Download the trial assignment (and application documents, if required) from the [Applicant Portal] → Complete and enter/upload your application documents and trial file → Screening → Notification of results by email.
